In an event organized by Project “CHILD” and Pratiksha Hospital on 13th December, 2014, Chief Guest Dr. Shilpa Aggarwal, Child Psychiatrist and Psychologist from Melbourne Health, Australia, spoke about how teachers should go about handling psychiatric kids. “The first step is identification of the kid. Once that is done, extra care should be taken to treat the kid with patience and politeness.”
Project “CHILD” is an initiative of the Society for Promotion of School Health (SPSH) and is the oldest and the most comprehensive school health programme of Assam. The event was held at Maria School in Guwahati and was attended by 130 teachers.
